We started with the step everyone else skips.
There is a great deal of help for the night if someone loses their housing, and a great deal of help once they have a lease. In between, where most people actually are, there is almost nothing.
Christmon Housing Solutions is a Pennsylvania LLC founded and run by Marquetta Christmon. We provide room-based independent living for adults who are ready to move out of emergency shelter, out of an eviction, or out of a home that is not safe, and who need a real place to land while they rebuild.
Our residents are adults with income who can live independently. They do not need supervision or treatment. What they need is a clean, safe, affordable room, clear expectations, and enough stability to save, work, and qualify for their own place. That is the entire model.

How we operate
We run on written standards, not good intentions. The screening criteria published on this site are the criteria we actually use. The process described on this site is the process residents actually go through. A case manager can read exactly how we work before they ever pick up the phone.
Our homes are furnished, all-inclusive, and kept to a standard we would be comfortable living in ourselves. We are careful and deliberate about who we place and where, because getting it right matters more than moving fast.
Why you will never see our houses
We house survivors of domestic violence. For someone who has left an abuser, an address is not an address. It is the one piece of information that keeps them alive.
So there are no property photos on this website, no listings, and no locations. Not today, and not as we grow. We never advertise our properties, for the safety of the people who live in them.
